New Craft Beer Fantasy League Launches During American Craft Beer Week
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J., May 11, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Fantasy sports are on hold, and craft brewpubs are closed, but a new Craft Beer League offers an exciting way to have fun during this time of social distancing. The Craft Beer League is similar to a sports fantasy league, except players pick six craft beers to make up their team, and team points are based on the increased percentage of retail sales for those beers for each week.
“Craft beer is a fun and ever-changing category with a community of local brewers and consumers. We feel there is a great overlap between the popularity of the 32 million craft beer drinkers and the 40 million Fantasy sports fans that will make for a fun and exciting new League,” said Mike Marzano, co-founder of The Craft Beer League. “We have been prototyping different ideas for over a year and feel we have come up with a game that everyone will love to play. The League will consist of 250 craft beer brands in the U.S. with a plan to expand to include more beers and regional based leagues in the coming months.”
Players can join The Craft Beer League for free through www.thecraftbeerleague.com and track their scores through a mobile app available for Apple and Android mobile devices. This will be a fun and entertaining game for fans of craft beer, fantasy leagues, and anyone looking for a new game to play.
