New Dating App - Blindfold - Launches a Free Launch Party in NYC, Giving Away Tickets to a Free Off-Broadway Play

Blindfold App

The new dating app, Blindfold, has announced it is throwing a free launch party in New York, giving away tickets to the new Off-Broadway play - The King, The Final Hours - on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Attendees simply have to show the Blindfold app on their phone for a free entrance to the play that tells the unauthorized love story of Elvis Presley.

The Blindfold app is your ticket to meeting other singles who enjoy quality conversation and the arts. What better place to celebrate the launch of our new dating app than at an Off-Broadway play where conversation drives the evening. Our free launch party will be a fun event curated by conversation - just like our free dating app.

Alexandra Menna, Founder of Blindfold

“The Blindfold app is your ticket to meeting other singles who enjoy quality conversation and the arts,” said Blindfold founder Alexandra Menna. “What better place to celebrate the launch of our new dating app than at an Off-Broadway play where conversation drives the evening. Our free launch party will be a fun event curated by conversation - just like our free dating app.”

Blindfold is sponsoring the matinee show as a gift to singles looking for quality conversation. Entrance is limited to the total number of seats in the theater. Before the play starts, singles are encouraged to mingle at the bar and play the Blindfold game with others in person to see what preferences they have in common.

How Blindfold Works

Blindfold is not your typical dating app that lives by “hot or not.” Instead, Menna says Blindfold brings singles together in a meaningful way where they play fun games while also learning about what the other person wants in life and a relationship.

Menna says Blindfold was designed to curate quality, relevant and meaningful matches based on a user’s answers to the Blindfold Preference Deck.

Once a user matches with someone, Blindfold enables them to instantly break the ice and play fun games that help them learn about each other. Users also get to see how compatible they are based on their answers to the game.

“Singles are tired of going to bars, meeting for one drink and running out of things to talk about,” said Menna. “We want to meet people and get to know them. That’s what makes Blindfold so much better. You learn about the other person by playing games before you meet. And when you do meet, you will have quality topics to discuss, thanks to Blindfold...”

The launch party is taking place at the Producers Club at 358 West 44th Street on 9th Avenue just outside the Theater District.

The King, The Final Hours

The King, The Final Hours is an unfiltered and artistic interpretation of what went through Elvis Presley's mind during his final hours on earth. It's the first Off-Broadway play to explore the King's final hours as he reflects on his life, failures and the women he loved most. The play also includes live music and love songs that the King performed throughout his career.

The King, The Final Hours is not affiliated with Elvis Presley Enterprises.

DeMone Seraphin is the director for The King, The Final Hours. He's a Broadway performer with national and international credits that include Rent, Miss Saigon and Ragtime. He also served as resident director for the international tour of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's - The Music of the Night - in addition to countless international and regional directing credits.

“Our play will take singles on a journey through the 1950s, ‘60s and 70s, giving them a raw experience of love and fame. The King, The Final Hours will inspire singles to pursue love and embrace it with meaningful conversation,” said DeMone. “This launch party is a great opportunity to watch an Off-Broadway matinee, learn about the most famous man in the world and meet new singles with similar interests.”

The Crown Theatre is an intimate 60-seat theater that provides every seat an authentic experience. Located inside the Producer’s Club, it is walking distance to Times Square and conveniently located in the Theater District.

Tickets are available here. The Blindfold app must still be shown at the door on your phone for a free entrance.
