New Dog Breeds Introduced

A variety of dog breeds were introduced at the the 135th Westminster Dog Show.

The dedication is the driving force that makes people come up with various new ideas and inspirations. Such dedication and efforts to bring about a revolution in the field of dog-breeds were put in by some breeders. This attempt of creation of a variety of breeds is almost a kind of lifetime achievement. These Newly created breeds were lately created with an intention since 1940. The main reason behind the creation of these new breeds can be stated broadly in four points - (a) miniaturization, (b) breed enhancement, (c) genetic mutation, (d) in order to adapt to the surroundings (e) acclimatize to the geographical conditions.

Some of these developed breeds now have fixed and proper traits very much alike the true types. While there are some breeds, which are still below development. Many have not gotten themselves registered under AKC, FCI or UKC.

In order to give proper definition to newly recognized breeds, we can say that these are the dog breeds which have existed for ages but have only gained international recognition via official identification by one of the most important kennel club and dog shows. Basically these dog breeds are regional working dogs (hunting or guard dogs), which have a vast historical background, though in a restricted geographical area. Generally they have already gained unofficial recognition as separate breeds by the local authorities or canine experts. Some examples of these newly created breeds are American Hairless Terrier, Australian Bulldog, Black Russian Terrier, Czechoslovakian Wolf-dog, Dorset Olde Tyme Bulldog, Old English Bulldog, Kunming dog, Kyi Leo, Lupo Italiano, Mi-ki, Moscow Toy Terrier, Shiloh Shepherd, Silken Wine hound, Silken Wind sprite, Tamaskan dog.

Last year in February, six new breeds made their debut at the 135th Westminster Dog Show. The variety was chosen by the American Kennel Club on the basis of the characteristics of the dogs.
