Three New England organic food producers raise money to help support small farms

Monroe NH - Pete and Gerry's Organic Eggs partnered with Stonyfield Farm Organic Yogurt and Barowsky's Organic Bread to sponsor the first Big Organic Breakfast Bar at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. The companies served athletes and spectators a nutritious, all-organic breakfast.

The proceeds went to The Carrot Project, an innovative Boston-area nonprofit that creates financing solutions for small- and mid-sized farms, limited-resource farms and those using ecologically sound practices. Their unique program is designed to incubate and establish alternative financing programs in combination with business technical assistance. The event raised more than $3200 for this deserving organization.

The Head of the Charles Regatta is the world's largest rowing event. It attracts almost 3,000 athletes and over 200,000 spectators, making it one of Boston's three largest annual events. Winding past MIT and Harvard, the Regatta draws university and college rowing teams from around the world.
