New Full Service Pet Care Service Announced

Online, May 13, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Pet-care specialist, Matt Miller, has announced the opening of Wet Nose Pet Care, serving Downtown San Francisco and surrounding neighborhoods. Mr Miller has over twenty years of pet care experience for friends and family.

When asked about the importance of pet sitting services, he explained, "Staying in a kennel is often more stressful to pets than their owners realize. With my service, pets can be cared for in the comfort of their own home - the surroundings they know best."

Before relocating to San Francisco, Mr Miller previously lived in NYC where he was the founder of Dog Walking Made Easy and a volunteer and supporter for the Mighty Mutts rescue organization. He decided to launch his business to provide a much-needed service in this community and to pursue his passion for working with animals.

Matt is a certified dog trainer with the Animal Behavior College, and is certified in animal First Aid/CPR with the American Red Cross. The philosophy and methodology used, centers around positive reinforcement. He employs a scientifically proven teaching method derived from dolphin training that uses a marker signal to reinforce a desired behavior. This method helps dogs learn faster and better enables both dog and owner to enjoy the training experience.

Matt began his career by opening his own dog walking business in New York City in 2008 inspired by his passion for animals. He was invited by Kate Perry of Kate Perry Dog Training to be an assistant trainer and to studied regularly with her on more advanced cases. Matt has now relocated to San Francisco and is the owner/operator of Wet Nose Pet Care in the downtown area.

Matt is the proud owner of two pets himself; a 1 year old French Bulldog named Lorelei and an 11 year old domestic short hair cat named Bynx. He has also owned, fish, hamsters, rabbits, turtles and butterflies! Matt's knowledge with pets spans his entire lifetime and he puts his experience to work caring for your pets every day.

Matt grew up in Ohio where he and his father were avid sportsmen and trained many of their own working dogs. He also continues to study new training methodologies through workshops and seminars and is trained in Veterinary Assistant procedures. Matt is a supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Humane Society of the United States.

Walking and feeding pets during owner absences is the primary function of his business, and he also provides dog training and pet sitting services. Additionally, his service is not limited to dogs and cats. "While dogs and cats make up the bulk of our clientele, we also provide care for rabbits, fish, bunnies, birds and pocket pets," he added.

In addition to providing in-home care for pets, Wet Nose Pet Care also offers boarding in a home atmosphere.
