New Guidebook Published Providing Northwest Golfers With Details On Every Golf Course In Oregon and Washington Where The Public Can Play
Online, November 23, 2011 (Newswire.com) - A new edition of The Northwest Golfer has been released in both print and eBook format, giving Oregon and Washington golfers two ways to locate the region's 350+ public golf courses. This is the first Kindle eBook release of this book, but the print version made its first debut nearly 25 years ago. The publisher is One More Press.
First published in 1987, this book was split into two volumes with this latest edition. The first volume, The Northwest Golfer; Oregon Edition - A Guide To Every Golf Course Where The Public Is Welcome In The State Of Oregon provides details on 144 individual course locations; some of these sites have multiple golf courses.
The second volume, The Northwest Golfer; Washington Edition - A Guide To Every Golf Course Where The Public Is Welcome In The State Of Washington provides full details on the 218 public and semi-private golf courses found at 201 different locations across that state.
Both books are laid out in identical format. Easy to use, a quick reference line highlighting each course's yardage, par, number of holes and price range gives golfers quick access to important course details. Scenic beauty, terrain, facilities, and rental rates are all covered.
The Pacific Northwest has attracted a number of famous golf course designers, including Arnold Palmer, Bunny Mason, Robert Muir Graves, Robert Trent Jones, Mike Asmundson, Peter Jacobsen, Chandler Egan, Robert Cupp, William Overdorf, John Harbottle, Bob Tachell, Jack Frei and John Fought. All have public courses; most utilize the natural features of this scenic landscape.
The new volumes are both written by the original author, KiKi Canniff, and have been updated to include courses opened as recently as August of 2011. The Amazon Kindle version is interactive, and includes links to course websites, making it essential for an avid golfer's phone or laptop.
