New Initiative, The Rally Fund, Launches to Provide Funding To Social Impact Ideas

The program provides $1000 awards to individuals as well as advisors to help further accelerate the projects

Two sisters from Chicago were inspired by current events to create The Rally Fund, a new program to give individuals the boost they need to get started on their ideas. This new program will provide 10 people with $1,000 awards to launch projects aimed at helping others.

Sarah and Eleni Press, who have backgrounds in strategy and media, created The Rally Fund to help those suffering from health issues, isolation, or unemployment because of recent events. They realized that by using their skills to support other people's visions, they could maximize their overall impact.

"We know a lot of people have ideas we could have never thought of on our own. By helping them get those ideas off the ground, likely in different pockets of the country, we can mobilize and reach an enormous number of people," said Eleni Press.

While the financial award is an attractive draw, it is only one component of The Rally Fund.

According to Sarah Press, "We are excited to link our recipients with advisors who can help with anything from setting up a website to coordinating a PR campaign to recruiting volunteers. This network will provide the extra support our participants need to further accelerate their progress. Anyone is welcome to be involved as we all have skills to share."

In addition to having access to these experts, The Rally Fund recipients are encouraged to engage friends and community members in their projects. The ultimate goal is to inspire as many people as possible to get involved in some way.

"This is a scary time, but I believe it's also a time of hope. We’ve seen how so many people are banding together to support one another in this time of crisis, and we’re proud for The Rally Fund to be a part of that movement," said Sarah Press.

Added Eleni Press, "While we're stuck inside, it's easy to just want to focus on ourselves. And yet, so many of us are thinking about what we can do to help, because as human beings, it's our job to take care of each other. Hopefully, The Rally Fund can just make that outreach a little easier."
