New International Online Degree Graduates to Be Automatically Admitted to Prestigious Chapman University System

Brandman University and West LA College partner with an Early Advantage Program, which allows international students to earn a U.S. Bachelor's degree online without the expense of leaving their home country.

June 28, 2010, Irvine, CA - Brandman University, part of the prestigious Chapman University System ranked among the top colleges by U.S. News and World Report, recently announced it will automatically admit students in their Early Advantage Program (EAP) who successfully complete the International Online Degree program offered by West Los Angeles College ("West"). This partnership will allow international students to earn a U.S. Bachelor's degree online without the expense of leaving their home country.

West, located in Los Angeles, California, recently opened its popular online studies program to international students abroad. Students from around the world can now complete the first two years of their Bachelor's degree at this accredited institution with one of the lowest tuition fees in the United States of America. Students can advance from West to its newest partner, Brandman University, to complete the balance of their Bachelor's degree program online or, pending approval of a student visa, at one of their campuses throughout California and Washington.

"For decades, American students have enjoyed the ability to complete the first half of their Bachelor's Degree at a community college like ours. Then they advance to a university with half the course work completed. Community colleges offer such cost savings," said Judy Chow, West's Director of International Student Programs.
"As an immigrant to the U.S. myself, it is nice to be able to share this avenue with students around the world."

West currently offers two degree paths online - Business Administration and Liberal Arts. Students may go forth into the workplace with their West Associate Degree or "transfer" to a university to complete the balance of classes needed for a Bachelor's Degree or higher. Because the college is part of the California public higher education system, most courses "transfer" to the many prestigious public California universities including UCLA, UC Berkeley, California State University Los Angeles. West's classes also transfer to most other U.S. universities.

Through West's partnership with Brandman University, students can have confidence that there is a university seat waiting for them. Brandman University offers over 200 undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates, teaching credentials and extended education programs. Over 6,000 students per session enjoy convenient class times, exceptional faculty and unparalleled student service.
