New iPhone application from Oxagile: AgileSpeed 1.5

Online, November 29, 2009 (Newswire.com) - This is a short review of AgileSpeed 1.5 iPhone application new features developed by Oxagile software company as a part of Oxagile mobile application development services.
AgileSpeed (http://www.agilespeed.com) works as a car speedometer or walking meter. At a first glance AgileSpeed is simple enough to be popular among all kinds of people, especially young and active people.
One of the most interesting application features for me is the possibility to use it for 2 most widely spread means of transport: a car and a bicycle and also when walking on foot. Of course I can use this application for any another means of transport: a motorbike, a train, etc.
Let's review the new features and improvements of AgileSpeed version 1.5.
First goes the new route recording feature. When routes recording mode is enabled, I can see the history of route travelled: average speed and distance covered. Also I can edit the history as I want. I find this feature to be very useful because now I can see detailed information about my route and analyze it at any moment of time, for example, during having a rest after journey.
In addition to routes recording feature I found a possibility to review routes passed on the map. This is a short and simple way to determine my location and always see my route passed visually. Of course it is more convenient than to see coordinates in numbers only without any graphical presentation.
In previous AgileSpeed version some users asked not to stop speed definition during the time when satellite signal is broken. I was pleasantly surprised that this problem was successfully resolved in the new AgileSpeed iPhone application version. The algorithm of speed definition was improved and the speed didn't come to 0 during satellite signal absence.
Ah! Signal level indicator appeared in the left upper corner of the application's screen! Now I can determine the satellite connection "quality" at any moment of time! The higher the value is, the more reliable and accurate average speed and altitude data is.
It is pleasant that Oxagile added a "Mersedes-style" skin. Especially Mercedes owners would benefit from that :)
Here is one more feature which I find useful - average speed indicator. Now I can see my average speed right on the screen during movement. This indicator has different look-and-feel on every skin.
Of course, like any other application AgileSpeed has what should be improved. For example, the "Settings" button seems to be too small for me. But these improvements are smoothing compared with the possibilities and simplicity of AgileSpeed iPhone application.
In general, I think that the root recording and improved speed definition algorithm will increase the popularity of the application.
