New Laser Beam Steering Optics !
Online, October 28, 2009 (Newswire.com) - October 29th, 2009 - Little Rock, AK - Laser Tools Co., Inc. has introduced a brand new method of steering a laser beam. This unique method uses two glass windows with angled sides, called Wedge Prisms, to turn and redirect the laser beam more easily and quickly than ever before.
This new method of bending and twisting laser beams means big things for the mining, tunneling, and construction industries, as the laser can be firmly mounted and adjusted without the use of costly gimbals or leveling adaptors. Hard anodized and tension-loaded adjustment rings allow for long-distance stability, even for installations that are prone to vibrations, such as bridge crane installations and sawing.
"We are extremely pleased with the advancements we have made in laser beam steering," says Joe Wortsmith, President of Laser Tools Co., Inc. "Construction and mining lasers can now be adjusted and readjusted quickly and easily, allowing for faster, more cost-effective work."
Laser Tools Co., Inc. currently has two models available for small and large exit apertures, Model WP58 and Model WP59. These two models can work with red or green laser beams, and will fit all lasers that have been previously manufactured by Laser Tools Co., Inc. Field upgrades will be possible for new alignment applications, including antenna and fence alignment. The laser beam has a +/- 10° adjustment range and built-in fine control.
