New Lounge Featuring Jamaican and American Comfort Food Local Art, Live Music & Events Comes to Park Slope, BK

BROOKLYN, N.Y., October 30, 2018 (Newswire.com) - ​The Slope Lounge & Restaurant in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn is the newest addition to Brooklyn’s night and food scene. The Slope Lounge, also known as TSL, is a 3100 square foot family owned Lounge and Restaurant bringing Jamaican & American cuisine, live music, art and entertainment to the heart of Park Slope. The space opened on September 15, 2018 to a warm welcome from the community. Located in the space that was once The Tea Lounge & Sir D’s, TSL, seeks to keep a similar model ensuring the local community feels a sense of familiarity with the space. The venue is unique to the city with its stage as the center of this meticulously crafted artistic space. TSL is committed to the Arts and all things creative. The art in the space has been curated from local artists and new pieces are displayed each month. In addition, each week TSL engages the community with its diverse events schedule, offering something new and fresh for children and adults alike. The space features Monday Jazz nights as well as a slew of other events on their calendar like Puppet Shows, Open Mic, Comedy, Paint n Sips and more.

The Slope Lounge also serves up finely crafted Caribbean cocktails alongside Jamaican & American style dishes. The lounge is rolling out their final menu headed by their Executive Chef Jay Campbell on Monday, November 3rd. Chef Jay began his career in his hometown of Negril, Jamaica more than 10 years ago. He is committed to creating new and exciting dishes that showcase the best of Caribbean food and incorporates mouthwatering plating styles. Some new menu additions include, Jack fruit salad, Tostones Burgers, Hennessy Raisin Waffles, Bailey’s French Toast and Jerk Popcorn.
