A new patented product known as the (EO)2® (easy-on/easy-off) Mounting System© is hitting the market with a lot of anticipation. With no product like it available in the market, easy to use and very durable, usage will expand quickly. The (EO)2® Mounting System© was and will continue to be designed, engineered, and manufactured in Michigan. Over 95% of the components are from United States companies.

The (EO)2® Mounting System©, in its current application, is essentially a fastening system that can be used with the roof rack of a vehicle. In doing so, it allows for a faster method of loading and unloading your car as well as creating more storage space inside the vehicle. Using crushproof/waterproof protective cases with the system allows the owner to fill up their case with personal belongings and quickly snap it onto their car in rain or snow without fear of getting the contents exposed to the elements. Also, it can be removed, within seconds, without the hassle of straps, bungee cords, or nuts & bolts once arriving at the destination.

"The simple, durable and functional design offers many uses in the civilian and military market," says Alan Brenner, Supply Chain Manager for BAE systems.

Robert C. Purcell, founder of Purcell and Associates, LLC said, "I was impressed with the simplicity and robustness of the design; and believes this system could have a broad market application. It is also a product that could be manufactured at a very attractive cost and marketed to a variety of potential customers who require a strong, but easy-to-use, luggage attachment solution." Purcell has referred to the (EO)2® Mounting System as, "metal Velcro®". Purcell was the Vice President of Global Planning, Sales and Strategic Alliances at the General Motors Powertrain Group; and also led the GM Advanced Technology Vehicles Group that was responsible for the first modern electric vehicle in 1996.

After allowing the Independence Township Fire Department to field test the (EO)2® system Steve Ronk, Fire Chief of the Independence Fire Department said, "The (EO)2® anodized aluminum bracket offers a lightweight, durable method of securing our equipment... When the item is needed, it can easily be "unsnapped" from the (EO)2® bracket mounted in the emergency response vehicle and immediately put that equipment to use."

The sales appeal of the (EO)2® Mounting System is very expansive including a market reaching public service organizations, such as; fire departments, first responders, law-enforcement agencies and Depart of Defense organizations. Due to the easy-snap-on-and-off design, the (EO)2® Mounting System is not limited to a particular consumer market. By simply setting it up on the rail, then bringing it down to make it snap in, and pressing the lock, the case is secure on the top of the car. To take it off simply reverse the process, unlock the mounting system and then pull the case up and off.

Initially the (EO)2® system will be marketed in a vehicle sports rack SnapTop Carrier. This market was selected due to the fact that the current car-top carrier market reaches sales of a billion dollars annually. It will work well in this market partially because of its crushproof and waterproof features. The primary attraction to the (EO)2® is the ease of mounting and dismounting that the system offers. The (EO)2® Mounting System will make everyday luggage carrying easier for all.

As a sports rack carrier, the system can easily be attached to Yakima or other sports rack products. Through the use of Yakima Universal SnapAround or Universal Mighty Mount pieces the (EO)2® Mounting System can be attached to Thule, Yakima, etc. or OEM car top rack systems. This will make the (EO)2® SnapTop Carrier an easy addition to any car. The Yakima Universal Mighty Mount allows for the system to be attached to 95% of the cross bars on OEM luggage carrier systems. Another option is using a special piece that facilitates hitch mounting. This piece is produced locally in Michigan. The piece is 11 gauge steel and can hold over 500 pounds.

With versatility and potential to be scaled up or down, to accommodate loads ranging from the tens of pounds to the tens of thousands of pounds, the (EO)2 Mounting System has endless possibilities.

(EO)2® is a product of RayoMar Enterprises Inc., which was founded by Richard C. Rayos and Michael P. Martin in January of 2009. RayoMar develops, manufactures, and markets the (EO)2® Mounting System. In the Winter of 2004, Rayos drafted the original (EO)2® design concept on a paper napkin. From 1995 to early 2009, Rayos worked as a Sales Engineer for a variety of automation and engineering companies. Since the original design concept in 2004 the (EO)2® Mounting System has undergone several design and prototype revisions. After their sales engineering careers went into a tailspin a year and half ago because of the failing Michigan economy, Rayos and Martin decided to work with the idea and make it into something real; and thus formed RayoMar Enterprises Inc. in the wake of the worst recession in the U.S. since the Great Depression. Rayos previously had not done anything with it because of the design's elegance and simplicity - he thought that "there must be something already like it out there." The down turn in the economy acted as a catalyst to motivate Richard into action. He found some help in funding for; and more importantly, some belief in the project from his friend Martin, also a Sales Engineer. Kevin Donnenwerth who is currently a project engineer at GM, also provided contributions toward design improvements. Instead of letting the recession get the best of them, the newly formed team made the best of the situation and decided to work on their new product.

With the right attitude, some sales, and some funding to help expand marketing streams, RayoMar and the (EO)2® Products could grow to a company with annual revenues well over $100-million. RayoMar could make a significant contribution towards the diversification and recovery of the Michigan economy.
