New Mom of Twins Creates Silly Character and Launches New Business

While juggling the demands of raising twins, Jennifer Kelman successfully launches new business for kids after creating the lovable characters, Mrs. Pinkelmeyer(TM) and Moopus McGlinden (TM).

Mrs. Pinkelmeyer™ was created in a quick thinking move to soothe a lonely child. Jennifer Kelman was taking care of her young nephew, Henry, while his parents enjoyed a vacation alone. Every night Henry's parents would call home to say hello, but when they hung up, Henry would cry inconsolably. One night Ms. Kelman, beside herself at the sight of her nephew's tears, picked up the phone to call a Mrs. Pinkelmeyer. She handed the phone to Henry and quickly picked up the other extension.

"Hellooooooo" she said. "My name is Mrs. Pinkelmeyer. I am making a delicious rrrrump rrrroast for dinner. Do you like rrrrump rrrroast, Henry?"

Mrs. Pinkelmeyer told Henry that she lived in Poppingham, England with her dog, Moopus McGlinden™ who is always nipping at her heels. Henry was delighted and fascinated, and forgot to miss his parents for a moment. Many years later Henry still remembered Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and how happy she made him when he was feeling sad and lonely.

Mrs. Pinkelmeyer lay dormant for 15 years until Ms. Kelman had children of her own. She became a mother of twins, and soon enough Mrs. P was back with her funny voice and cheerful personality.

Ms. Kelman soon realized what Mrs. Pinkelmeyer could mean for children everywhere. Working with sketch artists, she created a character that would inspire love, warmth and confidence. Mrs. Pinkelmeyer became the, "silliest, warmest, know-it-all™."

Ms. Kelman worked with Binkley Toys to create a plush doll that children could hold and hug. Of course, Mrs. Pinkelmeyer does not go anywhere without her dog Moopus, so he comes with her and can be detached and carried separately. When Mrs. Pinkelmeyer is squeezed you can hear her signature song "Mrs. Pinkelmeyer Makes You Happy." Mrs. Pinkelmeyer has other music too, including "Pinkelmeyer Dance" created by Valerie Kelman. These songs are available for purchase on a separate CD or individually online at www.MrsPinkelmeyer.com.

Ms. Kelman is writing the first in a series of books about the adventures of Mrs. P and Moopus, Mrs. Pinkelmeyer and Moopus McGlinden Burn the Rrrrump Rrrroast. For more information or to purchase other Pinkelmeyer products please visit www.MrsPinkelmeyer.com.
