A new Nissan dealership will set up shop in town this summer, replacing the former Ira Toyota lot that's sat vacant for years. According to "The Milford Daily News"
"Selectmen Monday night welcomed general manager Jeffrey Batta, who said he wants to hire 50 local employees at the 320 East Main St. property, which will go by the name Nissan Milford Inc. Batta owns and operates Marlboro Nissan, a new and used car dealership on Boston Post Road in Marlborough. He said the Marlborough business sold about 1,800 cars last year and won numerous customer-satisfaction awards."
Batta said the company is taking bids to renovate the 3-acre site and refurbish the 28,000-square-foot building, which has 20 service bays.
He said he hopes to open in June or July with a 30-person staff and expects to bring on 20 more employees within the first year.
