New Off-Broadway Play - The King, The Final Hours - Expands Cast and Creative Team

NEW YORK, September 26, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The new Off-Broadway play - The King, The Final Hours - has announced it has expanded the cast and creative team for its upcoming play on the unauthorized story of Elvis Presley.

DeMone Seraphin is the director for The King, The Final Hours. He's a Broadway performer with national and international credits that include Rent, Miss Saigon and Ragtime. He's also the founding artistic director of The New American Theater Co. NY. DeMone has served as resident director for the international tour of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's - The Music of the Night - in addition to countless international and regional directing credits.

We're bringing this play to life on stage, using every element of this theater. The audience will take a journey with us in an intimate setting that brings the performance literally into the seats. It will be a performance that is both theatrical and emotional.

The newest company members are Chelsea Davis and Sean Jarrell.

Chelsea graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Her theater credits include: Rent (Mimi), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio), Magic: The Play (prime minister), Proof (Catherine) and The Exonerated (Georgia). 

Sean studied at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. His acting credits include: The Exonerated, The Dutchman, Annie Get Your Gun, That Men Do, Jobe, Christmas Carol and Savage in Limbo.

The King, The Final Hours is not affiliated with Elvis Presley Enterprises. The play is an unfiltered and artistic interpretation of what went through Elvis Presley's mind during his final hours on earth. It's the first Off-Broadway play to explore the King's final hours as he reflects on his life, failures and the women he loved most. The play also includes live music that the King performed throughout his career. 

The playwright, Mark Macias, is an Emmy-award winning producer and former Executive Producer with NBC and Senior Producer with CBS in New York. He's been nominated for 5 Emmys in the categories: Documentary, News Features, Consumer & Business, Religious Programming and News & Public Affairs. Macias is the founder of - MACIAS PR, which was named 2015, 2016 and 2017 PR Firm of the Year by both marketing peers and journalists.

The King, The Final Hours opens in two weeks - Wednesday, October 17th - with a 10-day limited run at the Producers Club in New York. Following each performance, the producer and playwright will open the stage up with a Q&A, giving theatregoers an opportunity to ask any questions on interpretation or the play's development.
