New Online Marketplace Rivals Etsy; Built On Twitter

Sell Simply offers consumers a transparent, fast and spam-free way to buy and sell online

PORTLAND, Ore. - theGOOD (www.thegood.com), an interactive think tank that develops socially-engaging experiences and products, announces the launch of Sell Simply (http://sellsimp.ly/), an online marketplace built on Twitter to allow for fast, easy and transparent purchasing and selling. Recognizing an opportunity to create a better online shopping experience, theGOOD concepted, designed and developed Sell Simply using the Twitter API as the core user account and application engine - making it the only online marketplace of its kind to be fully integrated with a social media platform.

"After years of frustrating online buying and selling experiences, we charged ourselves with imagining and developing a solution," said Chris Teso, co-founder and creative director, theGOOD. "We like to think of Sell Simply as an Etsy, only simpler, cheaper, without product restrictions and controlled with a Twitter account. Or as a Craigslist, only totally transparent, spam free, and without all the back and forth email hassle. And even as an Ebay, only something that takes minutes, not hours to experience."

Sell Simply sellers have a Simple Shop, allowing them to list a variety of items. Shoppers can easily search by tag, location, keyword and price range, and then "follow" these searches to get a direct message when an item matches their criteria. Sellers can accept any offer at any time and get paid through a PayPal account. Shoppers can also "follow" offers and be alerted when one has been accepted, or outbid. All communications are facilitated using Twitter accounts. Sellers are charged a $1 listing fee per item. Visit http://sellsimp.ly/
