New Organizational Behavior Program Addresses the Epidemic of Disengaged Employees

The Hardie Consulting Group, an Orlando, Florida based management consulting firm, is thrilled to announce the launch of their proprietary organizational behavior program - Organizational Alignment.

The Gallup Business Journal recently published a study where they estimated that employee disengagement costs the US economy upwards of $350 billion annually. The ability to combat and reverse this staggering trend will be the greatest opportunity facing organizations in the foreseeable future.

The Hardie Consulting Group was founded in 2010 to address the needs of small to mid-sized businesses experiencing organizational dysfunction, employee engagement and human resource challenges. As experts in leadership development systems and Myers Briggs Type Indicator programs, the creation of a full scale organizational behavior program was a natural progression. Now, in addition to offering workshops and seminars on team building and leadership development, The Hardie Consulting Group is also providing organizations and individuals with a means of aligning organizational values with organizational behaviors.

"The creation of our full scale organizational behavior program was driven by client frustration. I kept hearing executives lament on how they could find leadership development programs or management training programs, but nothing that tied the two disciplines together to influence how the organization behaves in totality to effectively engage their people", stated Scott Brown, founder of The Hardie Consulting Group. "We have been encouraged by the interest we have received by from executives struggling to meet the demands of their organization and from organizations looking to tie their behaviors into their culture".

In their 2012 Global Workforce Study, human resource consulting firm Towers Watson concluded, "Companies are running 21st century businesses with 20th century workplace practices and programs". The result can be seen in Towers Watson's study of more than 32,000 full-time workers surveyed from across the globe. "Just over a third (35%) of workers participating in the study classified themselves as highly engaged (defined as the willingness and ability to go the extra mile)".

Mr. Brown went on to say, "Employee engagement robs workplaces of financial resources, morale and customer goodwill at an epidemic rate. As Baby Boomers continue to exit the workforce, the quantity of skilled workers with the desired skills who fit into an organization's culture continues to decline at an alarming rate. Companies can no longer count on just being able to go find another employee to replace a disengaged worker. They need to engage the hearts and minds of their talent to grow the level of highly engaged workers in their organization".

"Surveys have consistently shown people work for people, not for organizations. Towers Watson, Gallup and The Hay Group have all published data showing the relationship between boss and employee is the most critical component of employee retention. Our organizational behavior program gives employers and executives the tools necessary to build significant and individual relationships between employees and their supervisors".

"We felt the need to develop a program to address the needs of employers across all industries. It was important for us to create something that could be used in both an executive coaching situation or in a presentation format. Improving employee engagement improves the customer experience, which is the ultimate goal."
