New Orleans Rapper Sleepy Comes Back to Industry with "The Prototype 3"
"The Prototype 3" features 18 tracks from Sleepy and a bonus track by producer B3
Online, November 28, 2013 (Newswire.com) - After retiring in 2010, Sleepy never thought he would pick up a microphone again. In early 2012, that all changed as he started to write again. Today, he releases "The Prototype 3" as his debut back into the industry.
"I make music for my own sanity," said Sleepy, a rapper now based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after being raised in Missouri City, Texas. "This album is my therapy. And too, it's the first time I've released my own album. Already Entertainment is a young company, but it's a great one. Especially since each artist is given the freedom to follow his or her heart - which you will hear when you listen to my album."
Sleepy notes that successful music artists with an entrepreneurial spirit are key influences for him and his own music. He notes some of these top influences as 50 Cent, Diddy and T.I. Sleepy lists several artists that he grew up listening to as key influences, including Chamillionaire, DJ Screw, OG Ron C, and Z-Ro.
"Coming off the heels of Concept's release of 'The Mike Myers Project,' we are excited to launch the next album from Already Entertainment," said William James, CEO of Already Entertainment. "This is just a small preview of what you can expect from our roster. We still have another album launching later this year, along with some mixtapes for our fans."
"The Prototype 3" features 18 tracks, including a bonus track by producer B3. "Including B3 in the project brings everything full circle. We got serious about this music together in the apartments on LSU's campus." The album features production from J_Mill, Mouse Trax, Pugtunes, and Black Sheep. "The Prototype 3" is available for purchase for $9.99 from iTunes and other sites, including the Google Music Store, iHeartRadio, Last.fm, Rhapsody and Spotify.
Sleepy is also featured on the recently-released mixtape from Already Entertainment, "Already Everything." He kicks off the mixtape with his passionate verses in the song, "Already Everything." Sleepy collaborates with Dre Deuce & B-3 in "Already Know." Sleepy also released "J.A.B.S.," "Like A Man," and "Go With the Flow."
