New Product Eliminates Bending to Change Kitty Litter
An innovative new product from an occupational therapist and cat lover promises to help those who dread the 'litter bend.'
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, July 25, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Changing kitty litter is not something most cat owners look forward to. For those with temporary or chronic back troubles it can be downright painful. An innovative new product from an occupational therapist and cat lover promises to help those who dread the ‘litter bend.’
“Bending down to clean out or change litter places stress on the low back and knees,” said therapist and inventor Norm Gustafson. “I’ve seen people do just about anything to avoid that type of bending.”

Norm Gustafson, Occupational Therapist
Gustafson and his Canoe Creek Products Co. decided that raising the litter box to a comfortable height could completely eliminate bending. The LitterRazR™ enables can owners to do just that. Here’s how it works: with the cat litter resting on the non-skid bottom of the LitterRazR™ you simply turn a handle to raise the litter pan to a more easily accessible preferred height. After changing the litter at this comfortable height, you turn the handle again, lowering the litter back to the floor ready for the cat to use it again.
According to Matt Gruber of Gruber Industries, manufacturer of the new product, “It’s kind of like EZ pass. It enables you to breeze through a regular task with little effort.”
The LitterRazR™ is available online at www.litterrazr.com or by phone at 412-608-8230. Cost is $79 (includes shipping and handling). More information can be found at www.litterrazr.com. Gustafson said he already is receiving inquiries from distributors.
