New Scientology Ad Goes Viral in Spain
The Church of Scientology is airing its new "Who Am I?" ad on 8 Madrid TV and Channel 33.
Madrid, Spain, April 1, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Church of Scientology has launched its new ad in Spain. First aired in the U.S. during the final game of the NFL championship February 7, the Spanish version of the one-minute spot will air through May on Madrid TV Channel 8 and Channel 33.
The news of the new ad went viral with national media reporting on it from Blastingnews to EuropaPress, followed by multiple newspapers and national TV stations such as TeleCinco, newspapers la vanguardia, lainformacion, Politica Local, El Dia, El Economista, Diario Critico, Canarias 7, Bolsamanía, and Diario Siglo XXI.
With science providing answers to virtually every question today, this year’s Scientology ad points out there is still one question that can't be resolved with a test tube or supercomputer.
“We live in an age of technological wonder,” the ad begins. It goes on to show how technology has changed our practical expectancies: “at the touch of a button, the world's knowledge at our fingertips.”
Yet, it states, despite technology providing an “infinite source of answers to any question we might ask,” there still remains one that has not been resolved. And that is the answer we thirst for.
The ad ends by stating that the resolution of this mystery lies in Scientology,“ at the intersection of technology and spirituality” and that the question is “Who am I?”
The National Church of Scientology of Spain in Madrid confirmed it will broadcast the ad until the end of May. The Church, which is listed in the Registry of Religious Entities of the Ministry of Justice, has run a series of TV ads over the past several years to meet the tremendous demand for more information on the Scientology religion in Spain.
The first Church of Scientology in Spain opened in 1980 and today there are Scientology Churches and Missions in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Vitoria, Bilbao and Alicante.
