New Sentri7 Features Released to Enhance Infection Reporting
NHSN forms and MDRO rate reports help with infection prevention
Online, October 20, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software-as-a-service provider to more than 1,300 hospitals in the United States, announced today several new improvements have been added to Sentri7, a web-based, enterprise-wide electronic surveillance application that helps hospital staff identify at-risk patients.
Infection prevention teams can export data from Sentri7 for import into the CDC's National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). The NHSN forms have been enhanced with auto-population of the antibiotic susceptibility panel directly from microbiology data feeds.
The Infection Prevention module now has standard on-demand rate reports for device-associated infections like Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP), multiple-drug resistant organisms (like MRSA and C. diff), and procedure-associated infections like surgical site infection (SSI).
Sentri7 by Pharmacy OneSource combines medication, laboratory, patient, radiology and surgery data to facilitate earlier, better, and more consistent interventions. Accelerating workflows can lead to shorter lengths of stay, lower costs, improved patient safety and reduced antibiotic resistance. More information about Sentri7 can be found at www.sentri7.com.
