New Shoppost Integration with Hootsuite Launches to Simplify Social Commerce

Shopify, Etsy, Bigcommerce and Amazon Webstore customers now have their own Shoppost stream on Hootsuite to sell on social media, Tumblr and blogs

Zantler, the company that enables merchants to sell where they share online, today announced that their social commerce platform, Shoppost, is now available as a separate stream on Hootsuite, the world’s most widely used social relationship platform. This means any business that has an e-commerce storefront powered by Amazon Webstore, Bigcommerce, Etsy and Shopify can schedule a shoppost with a click of a button from the same application they use to manage all of their social media postings. Shoppost enables retailers to merchandise and sell their products in-stream on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr with a post that mimics an e-commerce storefront.

“Spiegel has seen a 600 percent increase in social conversions with our shopposts,” said Richard Lowe, International Creative Director at Spiegel. “Despite this, we weren’t incorporating shopposts into our daily social media cadence as much as we should since we posted shopposts separately from where we managed the rest of our social media—on Hootsuite. Now that Shoppost is fully integrated into Hootsuite, we will be utilizing shopposts more than ever.”

The Shoppost App for Hootsuite makes it easier than ever to schedule or immediately share shopposts. Retailers that have signed up for Shoppost can get their Shoppost List—a list of the vendor’s items that they have designated to sell with Shoppost—as a dedicated stream on Hootsuite by installing the Shoppost App. The merchant then can select any shoppost from that stream and schedule that shoppost on Facebook or Twitter, post that shoppost instantly to Tumblr or Pinterest, or embed that shoppost in a blog post.

“As we added hundreds of new retailers using Shoppost over the last few months, it became apparent that the majority of them used Hootsuite as their go-to platform for social media management,” said Zantler CEO David Robb. “Shoppost isn’t meant to be a standalone product independent of the daily cadence of social posts, so working with Hootsuite to integrate Shoppost was a no brainer.”

Shopposts include product details like images, availability, sizing, colors and pricing brought forth directly from a retailer’s merchant page. Once a customer clicks the buy button in a shoppost, they are taken straight to a merchant’s branded shopping cart, providing a seamless, trusted checkout experience. The Shoppost web app also provides a robust analytics tool that delivers valuable data about customer engagement and which products convert best on which sites.
