New Site Teaches Users about Hard to Open Files

A new website has been launched to teach users about common but hard to open files. The site focuses primarily on PowerPoint files.

They've been around for over two decades, but they are still causing problems and headaches for the average computer users. PPT files, also known as PowerPoint files, have been woefully neglected in common computer education, and a new website has been created to remedy this.

Open My PPT bills itself as 'a little website dedicated to a big problem.' The site, geared towards novice PC users, provides background information on the stubborn file type, and, most importantly, techniques to open it. "There are solutions out there, and easy ways to open your PPT file," said the creators in an official statement. "We just bring those solutions out in the open, and present them to the all computer users - not just experts."

The Open MY PPT site has no affiliation with Microsoft or Windows: "we're just normal computer users who want to help out" said the creators. The site includes main pages on How to Open PPT Files, about PPT files, and a running blog on relevant tips and tricks.

Also included on the website are free software downloads, to make the process even easier. "Recent advances in technology mean that there is no excuse for stuck PPT files" the creators said in a statement. Programs available from the webpage make it easy to identify and open all unknown and stuck file types, including PPT files.
