New Submersible Logger for Turner Designs Cyclops-7 Sensor Provides In Situ Monitoring

Vista, CA- Precision Measurement Engineering, Inc. (PME) is proud to announce the release of the Cyclops-7 Logger, a submersible, portable device that records time, date, internal temperature, fluorescence/ turbidity and gain.

Precision Measurement Engineering, Inc. (PME), an internationally known freshwater instrument design corporation is proud to announce the release of the Cyclops-7 Logger, a submersible, portable device that records time, date, internal temperature, fluorescence/ turbidity and gain.

PME's CEO Michael Head states, "Turner Designs and PME have come together to design a submersible logger that integrates with any of the Cyclops-7 Fluorometers/ Turbidimeter sensors. Both companies are working together in order to provide an exceptional experience for the customer."

The Cyclops-7 Logger can collect data at a variety of sampling rates, set by the customer, and store them to an internal SD card. The logger is a self-contained unit with a diameter small enough to log within bore holes and other research spaces. Data are offloaded to a computer via a USB card reader for easy viewing and analysis. The package is powered by two alkaline C cell batteries, potentially powering the Cyclops-7 for up to a year at 30,000 sample measurements before replacement is required.

Cyclops-7 sensors include Blue Green Algae, CDOM/FDOM, Chlorophyll, Crude Oil, Fluorescein Dye, Optical Brighteners, Tryptophan, Refined Fuels, Rhodamine WT Dye and Turbidity.
