New Technology, New Experience for Central Park's 40 Million Visitors

Central Park Conservancy adopts new technology to manage Park operations and help it provide a better experience for Park visitors.

Central Park comprises 843 acres and hosts approximately 40 million visitors annually, making it the most frequently visited urban park in the United States. Central Park Conservancy was formed in 1980 by a group of concerned citizens determined to improve Central Park. Today, the Conservancy provides 75% of Central Park’s $57 million annual operating budget, and is responsible for all aspects of Park maintenance, as well as capital improvements and restorations.

Phase One of Central Park Conservancy’s Cartegraph software implementation is already underway. The organization hopes to be up-and-running with its new Operations Management System in early-2015.
