New Validation Of Quark Rmr For Indirect Calorimetry Measurements With Canopy Hood
Online, June 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - A validation study of Quark RMR by the Centre de Recherche en Nutrition Humaine Rhône-Alpes (CRNHR) was published on the 6th issue of the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism.
The objectives of the study were to validate accuracy and reliability of COSMED QUARK RMR indirect calorimeter versus the DELTATRAC II™, a well-established reference system, which is no longer available, in resting and post-prandial conditions.
The conclusion of the study shows that Quark RMR is "a valid system to measure energy expenditure in resting and post-prandial conditions in obese and healthy subjects".
