New York Urban League Announces Sponsors of 40th Annual Football Classic

Online, September 19, 2011 (Newswire.com) - UPS, MillerCoors, Municipal Credit Union, Home Depot, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Walgreens, along with media partners New York Daily News, KISS-FM (98.7) and WQHT-FM (HOT 97.1) have been confirmed as official sponsors of New York Urban League's (NYUL) 40th Annual Football Classic. On September 24, 2011, NYUL anticipates more than 34,000 fans to fill MetLife Stadium to witness the epic rivalry between Howard University Bison and Morgan State University Bears.

With a rich 40-year history, the NYUL Football Classic is not only an exciting game, but a chance for many to participate in one of the most popular HBCU experiences. The Classic weekend kicks off at 8:30pm on September 22nd with Thursday Night Lights, a college football-themed movie mixer sponsored by Aloft- Harlem. Macy's will host New York Urban League's Mayor's Circle, the official VIP welcome reception for the 40th Annual Football Classic. MillerCoors is the official event sponsor for the Bragging Rights pre-game party at The Hill on September 23. Bragging Rights is hosted by New York Urban League Young Professionals as well as the Morgan State University and Howard University alumni organizations.

Walgreens will be on-site game day providing free health screenings on the National Urban League-Walgreens Wellness Tour Bus in the Vendor's Pavilion at MetLife Stadium starting at 10:30am. UPS will take part in the pre-game ceremony with delivery of the game ball. Home Depot will take part in the quarterly giveaways and select ticket holders will have the opportunity to win gift cards of various values. Winners must be in their seat to win.

As part of its sponsorship, MCU will host 150 underserved New York City youth at the annual Football Classic.
