Newman Asset Survey Reveals Reliance Communications Services Are The Worst
Newman Asset has revealed that majority of the RCOM customers are unhappy. Idea topped the list with highest number of satisfied customers.
Online, July 24, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Newman Asset, the US based independent research agency when conducted an independent survey on the India's telecommunication best and the worst service providers we never imagined that the company which revolutionized telecommunication in India will stand worst in the list.
Reliance Communications (RCOM), previously Reliance Infocomm was dreamt by legendary businessman Dhirubhai Ambani. After his death in 2002, Anil Ambani took control of Reliance Communications from his elder brother Mukesh Ambani and was a showdown in the telecom business amid costly expansion and poor average revenue per user (ARPU).
RCOM is sinking deep into the debt, which has already surpassed US $6 billion as it is losing quality customers to the other telecom network providers. The company is putting its assets on the block to repay debt and is already reaching out to well settled elder brother for mega tower sharing alliances for the Mukesh's 4G services roll out which can partially relieve RCOM.
An independent survey on 1540 RCOM customers revealed that less than 39% is satisfied with the service. Few prepaid customers revealed that there phone balance vanishes away now and then as the company is in habit of automatically making its customers subscribe to the value added services, some revealed that the network coverage is poor and the customer support operating from smaller cities is untrained and even abusive. The 3G services of the company which make tall claims frequently loses signal, however the Reliance Net Connect services has some 84% satisfied clients in the metro cities, one of the highest in the industry.
The survey on the other top operators made on less than 2,000 people from several cities revealed the following facts: Idea had some 81% satisfied customers followed by Airtel at 79% and Vodafone at 66%.
The network providers in India which uses expensive marketing to attract clients is being noticed falling short of their promises now and then. "I bought a new RCOM postpaid connection few days back, they assured me that the number will be activated shortly and a personal verification will happen. The number was activated but within days it was terminated and the reason was that there officials visited my place for verification and was unable to meet me, this is nonsense as every time there is someone to attend at my home and also I was never contacted over phone by any RCOM official. I paid security to the company to get the number which they are not returning saying that we will charge me for previous billing cycle. Adding to the pain I got thousand of business cards printed with my new number which they say number will be available after 60 days and can be only made available if I settle previous dues and repay double security money," said Alok Mishra, a RCOM subscriber.
