NFL Retired Players Association Announces Participation in #C4CT Concussion Awareness Summit

Carl Eller, President and Founder of the NFL Retired Players Association, announced the NFL RPA will be participating in the #C4CT Concussion Awareness Summit on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the United Nations Building in New York City.

Carl Eller, President and Founder of the NFL Retired Players Association, announced the NFL Retired Players Association will be participating in the #C4CT Concussion Awareness Summit on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the United Nations Building in New York City as a part of Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Coalition for Concussion Treatment (#C4CT) Concussion Awareness Summit, featured during Super Bowl XLVIII in New York, will focus on important scientific, medical, translational and prevention related topics as they pertain to the emerging global issue of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), particularly on their long-term impacts on athletes and soldiers. All panels will include industry experts, leading scientists, neurologists and international business leaders joined by current and former professional athletes. Eller will be introducing the athlete participants and highlighting Game Plan II, a course designed for professional athletes.

The NFL Retired Players Association is dedicated to providing powerful national advocacy and collegial support for retired professional football players, their families and their communities at large. Former NFL players add value and bring a tremendous vitality to the communities they live in. The NFLRPA promotes the retired player as a community asset and a person of influence that can help improve the community as a whole.
