NightShift Radiology Commemorates 10th Anniversary

Teleradiology pioneer remains committed to customer support and long-term partnerships

NightShift Radiology, a national, on-call teleradiology practice, is celebrating a decade of growth and innovation since its founding in 2001. Throughout its history, the company has remained independently-owned and operated by practicing radiologists. With more than two million reports read and strong customer retention, NightShift has solidified its position as one of the most respected independent practices in teleradiology. In 2011 alone, the company expanded both its number of clients and facilities support by approximately 20 percent.

"We have seen the industry evolve in a major way since our launch 10 years ago," said Dr. Michael G. Myers, co-founder of NightShift. "When we began, teleradiology was in its infancy and comprised of smaller, regional practices. Now, consolidation is dominating the marketplace and NightShift stands in sharp contrast to this trend. Our sole commitment is to the radiology groups we serve who, in turn, have helped us establish a strong foundation as we continue to grow. In fact, we've experienced significant expansion as customers become disenfranchised with large conglomerates and are seeking partners that deliver personal attention and unwavering quality."

Over the past decade, NightShift has remained focused on the ideals of placing the needs of customers first and foremost. Its unique processes provide direct access to highly-qualified, full-time radiologists with exceptionally fast and accurate report turnaround time, averaging approximately 20 minutes.

"NightShift was founded upon the basic principle of serving as an extension to our customer's practice," said Dr. Eric Trefelner, co-founder of NightShift. "We have always worked in support mode and continue to seek to forge long-term relationships. Since we're not beholden to investor or Wall Street demands, our customers understand that we are not a threat to their business, but instead serve as a valuable asset to their success. This philosophy resonates with our users, and we're excited for what the future holds because of these stark differentiators against the competition."

The company has yielded several industry innovations in the past decade, such as NightWatch, a proprietary, web-based technology that enables authorized users to efficiently monitor real-time status of exams through final report delivery. NightWatch empowers customers to share interpretive data, as well as print radiology and administrative reports on-demand.

NightShift continues to expand nationwide with both new personnel and clients. To experience NightShift firsthand, the company will be exhibiting at the 2011 RSNA, booth 7544 in Hall B of the North Building.
