NMA Hosts DL Hughley
Online, July 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - (Silver Spring, Maryland) --- Most physicians and experts agree, laughter is good for your health! Studies have shown that laughter relaxes the body, boosts the immune system, triggers the release of endorphins and protects the heart. NMA's prescription for your health is an evening with DL Hughley, Adele Givens and Don "DC" Curry.
The National Medical Association (NMA) brings highly acclaimed stand-up comedian DL Hughley to the Washington Convention Center in conjunction with their 2011 Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly. "The NMA is ecstatic to bring the world's leading physicians back to the nation's capitol for our annual convention. We wanted to bring a great show to the area and welcome everyone to join us for an evening of laughter and we could think of no funnier comedian than DL Hughley to perform and host this event " says Leonard Weather, MD President of the NMA.
NMA will host the 2011 Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly on July 23-27, 2011 in Washington, DC. During this time NMA will highlight our "We Stand with You" initiative which unites African American physicians and patients around a singular goal of improving health. As a way to enrich the conference, empower and motivate the attendees and general public, NMA is hosting the "Laughter is Good Medicine" comedy show featuring DL Hughley along with Adele Givens and Don "DC" Curry.
