NNG Opens Shanghai Office

As part of its strategic global expansion, NNG has set up a new operation in Shanghai, China. With permanent representation in China, NNG reinforces its position on the Asian automotive navigation market. The new operation is managed by Roger Huang.

Budapest, Hungary - Navigation solution provider NNG LLC continues its strategic global expansion in response to the immense navigation demand in Asia. Following the recent announcement of a new operation in India, the company has now established a permanent presence in China. With the new undertaking, NNG's business partners are to profit from even more dedication to the localization and customization of their iGO Navigation solutions. NNG's Shanghai office is headed by Roger Huang, VP Asia of the company. Huang has been establishing the Asian business with NNG since 2009.

Providing turn-key navigation solutions for infotainment systems and navigation components as SDKs, NNG already counts major Asian Tier 1 suppliers among its partners. iGO Navigation software meets user requirements by combining simplicity of use with an advanced feature set. Popular features in the China product include simplified Chinese language support, handwriting recognition, PinYin input and Chinese TTS but most of all stunning 3D visualization.

"Our entry on the Chinese navigation market in 2010 was a full success; we identified the right industry - the automotive industry - for a growing need of navigation at the right moment. The continued and increasing success of our automotive products with local partners was calling for the commencement of our Shanghai operation. Our permanent presence in the region will help to provide local partners with a high-end navigation software that meets all their requirements," says Roger Huang.

Throughout 2010 and 2011 the company has invested heavily in the development of the localized edition of its premium software solution iGO primo, which has already convinced OEMs around the globe. The latest product version iGO primo® 2.0 comes with local traffic, a locally adapted menu structure and new intuitive navigation features that interpret the user's behavior and offer fast solutions in everyday traffic situations. NNG will demonstrate the China edition of iGO primo® 2.0 to automotive line-fit and aftermarket OEMs at the Telematics@China Conference in Shanghai, China on 8th-9th December 2011.
