No. 1 Caribbean Hotel Launches Fully Customized Wellness Program
Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, TripAdvisor's No. 1 Hotel in the Caribbean 2016, continues to top its guest offerings with the addition of a fully customized wellness program. The first on Aruba, the program lets guests maximize their vacation experience without sacrificing their wellness goals. Bucuti's wellness specialist Isabel Struve-Rasmijn tailors plans for guests' goals in four areas--nutrition, physical fitness, mental wellness and mind/body balance—for a new level of vacation fulfillment.
EAGLE BEACH, Aruba, August 2, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, the 2016 TripAdvisor No. 1 Hotel in the Caribbean, has launched Aruba’s only fully customized resort wellness program. Guests receive personalized programs to stay healthy, fit and feeling their best during vacation and beyond. Led by wellness specialist Isabel Struve-Rasmijn, programs support goals in four areas – Nutrition, Physical Fitness, Mental Wellness and Mind/Body balance.
“In the past, beach vacations were a time to lapse from daily routines, and diet and exercise fell by the wayside,” says Isabel Struve-Rasmijn, wellness specialist at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort. “Now, many people embrace a continuum of wellness and with our help, continue their healthy, active lifestyle while enjoying Aruba’s natural benefits.”
"A stay at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort is good for the mind, body and soul, simply by virtue of the calmer state of mind that comes with the soft white sand and clear Caribbean waters at your feet. We look forward to helping many guests amplify this state of mind through our wellness program."
Ewald Biemans, Founder and CEO of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort
The wellness assessment begins with a questionnaire prior to arrival, which guides Struve-Rasmijn in designing a personalized plan for each guest’s needs and preferences. Upon arrival, guests work directly with Struve-Rasmijn throughout their stay.
Maintaining a healthy diet on vacation can be challenging. Struve-Rasmijn provides nutritional counseling, meal suggestions and restaurant recommendation. Aruba’s diverse restaurants and the resort’s dining experiences provide many delicious, healthy choices. Bucuti’s Elements Restaurant offers gluten free, vegan and vegetarian menus, along with the regular menu. Once a dining plan is designed, Bucuti handles reservations and advises restaurants of guests’ dietary needs.
For exercise, Struve-Rasmijn assesses guests’ fitness levels, personal preferences and goals to identify activities for their itineraries. Private training sessions in Bucuti’s state-of-the-art fitness center, beach walks, and nearby yoga classes help with specific targets. Guided hikes in Arikok National Park, beach tennis lessons and water sports promote fitness through recreation. Bucuti arranges reservations and transfers making the process easy.
Relaxation is essential to achieving a healthy mind-body connection. The wellness program features suggested body treatments from Bucuti’s Purun Spa that customize both the sensory elements and the treatment setting—inside or beachside--to allow guests to fully release their stress.
Mental wellbeing is key to a healthy life. Bucuti’s team understands the powerful pull and healing properties of the sea, and encourages guests to go to the beach right after arrival to begin soaking in the natural surroundings. On land, soothing activities like Qi Gong classes on Eagle Beach aid harmony and balance.
