NoEX Records adds to their growing lineup of Hardcore Punk acts with Throwback.
Online, June 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Hardcore Punk is a genre that is sweeping the country and NoEX Records is rapidly growing their lineup. After the success off Stitch the Lids debut album NoEX CEO Jay Burton set out to identify the best in this exciting genre. The result was the addition of Maryland based Hardcore Punk act Throwback.
Throwback was signed to NoEX Records recently at the famous Canal Club in Richmond Va. "As the label looked to increase our footprint in this exciting genre everywhere we went we heard the name Throwback, it made our job a lot simpler" stated NoEX CEO Jay Burton.
NoEX released the debut album for Stitch The Lids titled "Check Ya' Bawls" earlier this year and found the new genre to be a growing trend among fans. "Hardcore Punk bands tend to combine old school hardcore vocals with a mix of punk and thrash riffs creating an exciting and very energetic show" stated label VP, Drew Burton.
Throwback is from Waldorf, Maryland and has spent the last 2 years building an impressive fan base with shows in the MD, DC and Northern Va areas. Throwback wowed the fans at this year's Tri-State Punk Fest in May. A debut album is currently in the works for release later this year. Keep an eye out for Throwback.
