Nohbo Launches Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign After "Shark Tank" Success
Nohbo balls, single-use, waste-free shampoo balls, are now available for pre-order
Melbourne, FL, March 1, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Nohbo, an environmentally-conscious personal hygiene company founded by 16-year-old Benjamin Stern, has launched an Indiegogo campaign for its waste-free shampoo balls. Nohbo balls are now available for pre-order with special early bird discounts and exclusive perks at: http://www.igg.me/at/nohbo-ball
Nohbo balls are single-use, semi-dry balls that dissolve into shampoo when exposed to water. Packaged with plant-based and compostable materials, Nohbo balls eliminate the plastic waste caused by shampoo bottles.
Nohbo appeared February 19th on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” a reality show where entrepreneurs pitch business ideas and compete for investments. Nohbo accepted an offer from billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, who called Stern his “Mini-Me.”
Stern invented Nohbo balls after watching a documentary about plastic bottles. Seeing how harmful plastic could be to the environment, he set out to resolve the global hazards posed by plastic waste and created a waste-free hygiene product.
“I was shocked to find there was no one on the market selling this kind of product,” says Stern. Partnered with an American manufacturer, Nohbo is now taking its first orders.
Nohbo balls are great for daily use at home, but also help travelers and adventurers pack lighter without the risk of leaks or spills.
On crowdfunding site Indiegogo, customers can pre-order Nohbo shampoo balls starting at $10 for 15 Nohbo balls, with the first 200 customers receiving an early bird discount. Distributors can also order Nohbo balls in bulk quantities for resale. An additional offering is a $200 “Shark Tank” gift bag valued at $285 that includes products from the following companies: Nuts ’n More, iLumi, Villy Customs, Bee Free Honee, Q-Flex, U-Lace, Simple Sugars, Monkey Mat, and Alyssa’s Cookies (added bonus).
