Noise Vibration Harshness - how innovative sound design influences safety

Sound design has not only become a unique selling point in the automotive industry, but also plays an important role in respect of driving safety. Sound design of hybrid and electrical vehicles must be reconsidered, also in view of pending national and EU regulations. Learn at IQPC´s conference on Automotive NVH, from January 23-24, 2012 in Wiesbaden, how acoustic design can not only eliminate unwanted noise but also create desirable sounds.

The conference focuses especially on:

•Legal standards and requirements for vehicle noise emission
•NVH design, concerning lightweight fibre
•Numerical simulation of sound insulation
•Acoustics for electric vehicles

On both conference days, interactive workshops are offered in the afternoon. Participants will get the chance to discuss topics of interest, such as the influence of vehicle sound on driving behaviour, or the challenges of sound design for electric vehicles.

Confirmed speakers include representatives from expert firms on acoustic design, such as:

ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Germany
TNO - Technical Sciences, The Netherlands
West Saxon University of Zwickau, Germany
Federal Environmental Agency, Germany
Autoneum Management AG, Switzerland
University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf, Germany
Institute of Mechanical Systems (IMES), Centre of Structure Technologies, Switzerland
Applus+IDIADA, Spain
T&E European Federation for Transport and Environment, Belgium
IPETRONIK & Co. KG
