NoMachine Announced As 2010 European IT Excellence Awards Finalist

Innovative solution for German Council with NX technology lands NoMachine a nomination in the Independent Software Category

Rome, Italy - Among the extremely high numbers of entries, NoMachine, creator and worldwide provider of NX, the secure remote access, hosted desktop and application delivery software, has been chosen as a finalist for the 2010 European IT Excellence Awards in the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Communications and Mobility category.

NoMachine has been nominated as a finalist based on the solution they provided Schwaebisch Hall, the first German Council to migrate to Linux. NX eased the transition providing 32 branches, 17 mobile workers and 16 Kindergartens remote access to both Linux and Windows applications from Linux desktops and thin clients on the network or directly from the Internet.

The European IT Excellence Awards are the first pan-European awards which recognise the crucial role that Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Solution Providers play in the delivery of real world solutions. Split into three sections, NoMachine is a finalist in the set of awards exclusively for ISVs. This category is designed for ISVs to show how they are addressing the need for software solutions that enable organizations to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.

The contest also recognises best practices among Solution Provider Value-Added Resellers (VARs) and Systems Integrators, as well as Suppliers. These categories have been designed to enable all types and sizes of companies from the European channel to participate.

Considered the most prestigious awards event in the European IT calender, seven ISV awards, seven VAR and System Integrator awards, three awards for suppliers and a Channel Personality of the year award will be handed out. The awards recognise business solutions rather than product features and reward excellence in the development and delivery of real end-user solutions.

Awards will be presented to the winners on February 25, 2010 at The Tower, a Guoman Hotel, London. For more information, please visit http://www.iteawards.com/Home.
