GRETNA - A Metairie Winn Dixie business was sued twice on the same day for slip and fall injuries that probably happened sometime in August 2012.

Dana Lafleur is on record against for the law suit against Winn-Dixie Stores Inc., Bi-Lo Holdings LLC, Winn-Dixie Properties LLC, Winn-Dixie Montgomery LLC and Bi-Lo Holdings Foundation Inc.

Julia Hagar is on record against for suit against Winn-Dixie Montgomery LLC and its top net supplier.

Both suits were recorded in 24th Judicial District Court on Aug. 9.

The cases concern two slip and fall injuries that may have happened at the Winn-Dixie at 5901 Airline Drive in Metairie on Aug. 10 and 11, 2012.

In the first place, on Aug. 10, Lafleur claims she slipped and tumbled to the floor as a result of a hardened ice pack from the nearby cooler, this ice chest was leaking water all over the floor coating and was very waxy to the touch.

Lafleur confirms she was truly hurt in at the scene and the prosecutor's recklessness fully knowing the risk existed, yet allowing the danger to exist and not forewarn her of the hazard and for not utilizing a non skid coating.

A day later on Aug. 11, Hagar claims she was walking around the outdoor walkway when she slipped on a liquid substance and tumbled to the floor, because of the lack of evidence this part of the case has been thrown away.

Hagar states she was hurt in the fall that was made by the respondent's dissatisfaction to sufficiently evaluate reach, and to alert her of the hazard, to repair the disfigurement and to give a shield her fall.

Lafleur is searching for an unspecified measure in damages for continued pain and mental anguish. She wants to buy some patio coating for her house to prevent slip and falls from occurring outside.

Hagar is searching for an unspecified measure in damages for physical pain and continuing, mental torment and persevering pain, mental anguish, physical impedance, debilitatation, medicinal consumptions, recuperation time and lost wages.

Lafleur is spoken to by Stephen F. Mourn of Kenner-based Stephen Rue & Associates LLC and Hagar is spoken to by Timothy P. Farrelly of the Metairie-based Culotta Law Firm LLC.

Lafleur's (case no. 729-802) has been allotted to Division Judge H Glenn B. Ansardi.

Hagar's case (case no. 729-800) has been assigned to Division A Judge Raymond S. Steib Jr.
