Non Stop Service Opens Opportunities for Belize
For a very long time now, going from Belize to Chicago was a great hassle, since that meant exchanging multiple planes before getting to your destination. Thankfully, it seems that the hassle has reached its end, since now, thanks to United Airlines getting to Belize has never been easier.
San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize, January 29, 2015 (Newswire.com) - This particular service is offered between the PGIA in Belize and the fabled O’Hare Airports located in Chicago. The first flight between these two locations has taken place on the 20th of December 2014 and starting with that date it will be a weekly flight.
Officials from the Ministry of Tourism in Belize clearly state the evolution of United Airlines and its flights in the region. The company started working with the PGIA back in 1988 by offering a single, occasional flight to the Houston hub, something that with time translated into two, four and in the end daily flights to Houston. A little more time has passed and then United Airlines also started to offer a weekly flight to Newark and right now the company is also offering a fast trip to Chicago too once a week.
Tracey Taegar Panton, the CEO at the Ministry of Tourism tells that this partnership with United Airline helps the country a lot since it allows Belize to receive the much needed influx of Northern American tourists, a necessary thing since its a fact that the US is Belize’s primary source of tourists.
With more than 2.7 million residents, Chicago is one of the largest cities in the US, so having a flight that covers the American Midwest to Belize was a necessity, especially since the eastern board was already covered. The United Airline partnership with Belize is great because the US carriers are actually bringing close to 70% of the whole overnight number of visitors.
From the perspective of United Airline, connecting Chicago to Belize is an important achievement since not only it creates a wonderful and constant connection between the two cities from a tourism standpoint, but it also brings in front the importance of the Belize diaspora and history for the American people.
United Airline’s new flight between the two destinations is set to create the much needed gateway between two very important locations and countless industries, so this will not only help tourism, but also countless industries, helping both regions make the most out of this opportunity.
The newly created opportunities for both tourists and businesses alike will create the need for suitable accommodation options. Chicago residents can rest assured that once they come to Belize they can find the best apartment, villa or house rental with the help of Coldwell Banker!
