NonProfit Fundamentals coach Judy Almand is leading an interactive webinar session on Getting Your Volunteers and Board Involved on Friday, October 22 beginning at 8:30 am EST.
Online, October 15, 2010 (Newswire.com) - NonProfit Fundamentals coach Judy Almand is teaching non-profit leaders how to survive in the post-Great Recession economy as part of the upcoming Blackbaud Better Together national conference in Washington, DC. Almand will lead an interactive webinar session on Getting Your Volunteers and Board Involved on Friday, October 22 beginning at 8:30 am EST.
A 20-year non-profit industry veteran with senior positions with the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association among her credentials, Judy Almand will review a successful structure for a working nonprofit and explain how to fill in the gaps with board members and other volunteers.
"From recruiting to training, board members and volunteers are an integral part of any nonprofit and getting them involved is the key to making a difference," explains Almand. "Involving board members is such an important way to strengthen the program and income work of a nonprofit. Many times executive directors and key staff members have valuable resources at their fingertips and don't utilize these key volunteers in the most effective manner."
Almand will give specific examples of how she has effectively made use of board members and volunteers over her career leading nonprofits. Attendees will receive valuable tips they can instantly apply regardless of their organization's size or the current state of the economy.
Non-profit leaders and volunteers unable to attend the conference can find a link to the free webinar on the NonProfit Fundamentals' website at NonProfitFundamentals.com.
