Washington, D.C. - October 1, 2009 The Nonprofit Roundtable of Greater Washington announced new Members to their Board of Directors including Jim Dinegar (Greater Washington Board of Trade), Manny Hidalgo (Latino Economic Development Corp.), Kathy Kretman (Georgetown University), Jeannan Peterson (Bank of America), and Chad Williams (Coalition for Homeownership Preservation in Prince George's County).

"We are excited to welcome these new directors who are committed to building the strength, visibility, and influence of the nonprofit community in order to create a more just and caring community in Greater Washington," said Chuck Bean, executive director of the Nonprofit Roundtable. "They bring to our board an incredible breadth of experience and knowledge."

The following new board members join 13 other current directors of the Roundtable:

â-ª Jim Dinegar, President and Chief Executive Officer, Greater Washington Board of Trade (http://www.bot.org)
The Board of Trade represents major business interests throughout Northern Virginia, the District of Columbia and Suburban Maryland. Dinegar is a 30-year resident of the Greater Washington region.

â-ª Manny Hidalgo, Executive Director, Latino Economic Development Corporation (http://www.ledcdc.org)
LEDC improves the wealth-building capacity of low to moderate income Latinos and other underserved communities in the Washington Metropolitan Area through small business development, homeownership counseling, and affordable housing preservation.

â-ª Kathy Kretman, Director of Georgetown University's Center for Public and Nonprofit Leadership (http://cpnl.georgetown.edu)
The Center is a leading education, research and training center dedicated to the development of public, nonprofit and philanthropic leadership.

â-ª Jeannan Peterson, Senior Vice President/Market Manager - Greater Washington/VA, Bank of America (http://www.bankofamerica)
Jeannan's office serves as a community and business integration point for Bank of America in the Greater Washington and Virginia markets and includes the management of charitable investments, community outreach, marketing sponsorships, and partnerships.

â-ª Chad Williams, Chief Executive Officer, Coalition for Home Ownership Preservation in Prince George's County
The Coalition is a membership organization of housing counseling agencies and community housing development organizations that works with banks, realtors, property managers, foundations and Federal, State and Municipal governments, among others, as partners to stabilize, preserve, and increase homeownership in Prince George's County, Maryland.

The Roundtable's Board of Directors and staff expressed gratitude to the three board members who ended their terms on September 30, including Alan Abramson (Aspen Institute and George Mason University), Ed Orzechowski (Catholic Charities DC), and Kathy McKinless (Archdiocese of Washington; retired KPMG).

"These departing Board Members gave their wisdom, their passion and their leadership over many years,' said Margaret O'Bryon, President of the Consumer Health Foundation and Chair of the Board Development Committee. "They leave the Roundtable a stronger organization, one that is ready to take on new opportunities and challenges in our region."
