"Falling, diving from the heights
Will you drown or will you rise?
Moonlight blooms as day grows slight
Into darkness, into night"
Into Night, Melissa Clason's debut poetry collection, tells the story of a young woman and her immersion into a myth she never thought could be real. For months she has been haunted by dreams and visions of Slender Man, the famous internet legend, in the woods outside her home. One night, she awakens on a path of black leaves, and she isn't alone. To destroy Slender Man and escape, she must find and burn eight magical pages that keep Slender Man alive through the power of the maker's thoughts. However, with Slender Man constantly stalking her, she does not find it to be an easy task. Finally, he manages to corner her. Desperate to escape Slender Man's clutches, she dives off of a cliff into the roiling seas below. Will she make it out of the water and survive Slender Man's assault? Will she ever truly be free of his menacing presence, always watching her? Find out in this evocative, haunting poetry collection.
