North Vancouver Personal Trainer Leon Grams is nearing the climax of a journey of self discovery . That's the description of the Certified Sports Nutrition Advisor program that Leon began earlier this year with the Cory Holly Institute. In the coming months he'll be attempting to gain his 'Masters' designation with the Institute by completing a public study to prove his methods work.

In what's been described as a real world 'Biggest Loser' simulation, Leon is attempting to prove just what regular people in the real world are capable of achieving when given the right tools. To do this he will be taking a currently inactive, but otherwise healthy middle aged (45 to 75 years of age) individual and providing them with personal training, nutrition coaching and even natural health products free of charge for an entire month. The only thing he requires in return? Dedication, consistency and persistence with to the program.

In an added twist to the assignment, there is a short written and practical exam at the end of the study. "I place such an emphasis on education and teaching my clients in exercise science and nutrition because I really strive for them to become independent. I want to prove that I can give them all the resources, skills, knowledge, training and confidence so they continue to improve their health and work towards their goals on their own without needing their coach or trainer by their side." Grams said.

Helping to bring this task into fruition, Leon has joined forces with several other local health and fitness businesses. Infofit is providing clinical fitness testing to ensure accuracy of measurement, with Body Plus donating the full months supply of natural health products and nutritional supplements. North Vancouver's own BFit Personal Training has donated use of it's facility to conduct the experiment. There is no way the study could go ahead without their support.

Applications for participation in the study are now open until January 9th, 2011. If you are someone who fits the description and is eager to have a chance at free personal training, nutrition coaching and natural health products for an entire month, learn more at http://www.leongramsfitness.com/masters-project/
