Northern NV Saleswoman of the Year 5 Finalists & Charity Recipient Announced

Online, March 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Professional Saleswomen of Nevada (PSN) will hold their 25th Annual "Saleswoman of the Year" Dinner/Dance and Fundraiser on Saturday, May 25th, 2012 at the Peppermill Hotel and Casino. There will be over $10,000 of donations offered at the live and silent auctions - which will benefit The Women and Children of the Sierras. The Women and Children's Center of the Sierra (WACCS) provides education, job training, resources and support to help women escape or avoid poverty and provide a better life for their families. Their goal is to empower women affected by poverty to become contributing members of the community by offering a transition from public assistance to paid employment.

WACCS offers these distinct programs to help their clients:

• Their Diaper Bank provides diapers for babies living in poverty-affected households for a nominal fee. This program is available to women needing emergency diaper assistance and requires enrollment in their program in order to receive longer-term diaper assistance.
• Women who need help becoming gainfully employed and self-sufficient can enroll in their Client Success Program. This program involves personalized case management, including coordination of services and referrals. Their Life & Employability Skills training is also an essential part of what they do.

Each year, PSN honors five women from Northern Nevada and one will be named "Saleswoman of the Year" at this event. Finalists for 2012 are: Ms. Jennie Dalinis-Maxwell of Aflac, Ms. Cheri Hill of Sage International, Ms. Molly Hutchinson of Body In Knead, Ms. Angie Fairbanks of ActionCOACH, Ms. Katie Knapp of Bumblebee Blooms Florist.
