Nota and IVIM Technology Take Over the US Market as Part of an Accelerator Program Organized and Supported by Korea Innovation Center Washington DC (KIC DC) With K2 Global Strategies as Their Trusted Partner in This Journey

In 2020, Korea Innovation Center Washington DC (KIC DC) as part of the ongoing accelerator program engaged with K2 Global Strategies to assist two Korean tech companies who are participating in KICDC’s one of the accelerating programs to expand their footprint into the US market.

KIC DC and K2 Global Strategies provided valuable insight defining their go-to-market strategy, identifying appropriate distribution channels, and developing strategic partnerships to deploy their products and solutions in the US Market. The companies selected for this program are: IVIM Technology a manufacturer of all-in-one intravital microscopy and Nota an edge-device AI solution provider that removes the need for any server or cloud computing.

To accelerate traction and solidify their presence in the US market K2 Global Strategies identified and introduced the right distributor and partner for IVIM Technology and Nota. For Nota securing proof of concept with an established AI company that provides an end-to-end AI platform and automates AI development for training machine learning models was an important first step to establish their name in the US market.

Director General of KIC DC Mr. Moon, Jung Hwan expressed that “One of the common mistakes when Korean startups enter the U.S. market is that they believe their technologies will work as good as it worked in Korea. However, it is totally different set of rules here in the States. So, it is very critical that Korean startups cooperate with U.S partners to test out their technologies.”

“Expanding into a new market can be challenging especially for foreign companies not familiar with how to conduct business in the US. The mission of K2 Global Strategies is to facilitate market entry by providing business guidance and enabling business opportunities,” said John Yu, Managing Director & Co-Founder of K2 Global Strategies.
