Javed Bahsir is one of Pakistan's most recognized & acclaimed classical singer hailing from a family of renowned qawaals. He has been with the Mekaal Hasan band since 2002. Javed Bashir has performed in India, U.K and U.S.A. to name a few countries several times to packed audiences.

Mekaal Hasan formed his band in 1999. Initially the band played all instrumental music and morphed into an Eastern Classical based outfit with rock and jazz arrangements and featuring vocals and traditional instruments. The band has also released two albums, 'Sampooran' in 2004 and 'Saptak' in 2010.
