NovaCopy Helping Fellow Texans With Hurricane Harvey Relief
DALLAS, September 8, 2017 (Newswire.com) - NovaCopy, the Metroplex’s award-winning, Managed IT and print service provider is doing its part to provide materials and donations to those who’ve suffered through the formidably destructive Hurricane Harvey – and who are now in need of putting their lives back together.
An active participant in the Metroplex business community, NovaCopy is serving as a collection site for relief items now through all of next week at NovaCopy’s Texas headquarters. Items will be delivered to area donation and shelter sites on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, and Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.
Collectively, we make Texas, our home, a great place to live and work. When our friends, customers, and neighbors need assistance, we're going to find ways to help. It's part of our company's culture, but it goes beyond that. Anyone in the community may bring what they can to our collection site, and we'll see that it gets to the right people.
Gary Greer, General Manager of NovaCopy
NovaCopy General Manager Gary Greer says the donation drive is simply "the right thing to do." He further adds, "Collectively, we make Texas, our home, a great place to live and work. When our friends, customers, and neighbors need assistance, we’re going to find ways to help. It’s part of our company’s culture, but it goes beyond that. Anyone in the community may bring what they can to our collection site, and we’ll see that it gets to the right people."
Donation items needed include infant, child and adult clothing, all bathroom and grooming supplies, trash bags, hand sanitizers, razors, work gloves, brooms, shovels, gas gift cards, first aid kits, flashlights with batteries, collars and leashes, ready-to-eat human food, puppy pads, crates and puppy and kitten milk.
The entire NovaCopy team in the Metroplex is participating with the company paying for time spent helping area shelters involved with Hurricane Harvey relief. But anyone can help by dropping contributed items off to the address noted within the next week.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Brock Long estimates that approximately 30,000 people are in need of shelter and that nearly half a million will need federal flood victim assistance. Multiple organizations in the area are working with victims in an effort to restore some kind of normalcy, if only by providing the basic necessities and human kindness.
Collections are being accepted at NovaCopy’s Dallas headquarters, located at 4251 W. John Carpenter Freeway, Irving, Texas 75063, Monday-Friday, now through Friday, Sept.. 15, 2017.
