NPG Appoints Director of Digital Media
Online, October 18, 2011 (Newswire.com) - News-Press & Gazette Co. has announced the promotion of Tony Courtwright, effective immediately, to the new position of Director of Digital Media.
Courtwright most recently had served as Director of Interactive Sales - NPG Broadcast. In his new role he will have responsibility for both revenue and content across all NPG web and mobile platforms.
Courtwright will report jointly to John Kueneke, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - NPG Broadcast, and Lee Sawyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer - NPG Newspapers. They commented in a statement:

Courtwright is a graduate of Eastern Washington University. Prior to joining NPG in April 2008, he managed website, news and sales operations for Cowles Publishing's The Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Wash., Gannett's Idaho Statesman in Boise, Idaho, and Belo's KTVB-TV in Boise.
His experience includes HotBauds, an Internet company he started in 1995 focused on setting up SLIP/PPP accounts; involvement in 2000 in start-up firm OnTempo, where he helped develop a content management system on the BroadVision platform; and the 2005 launch, with his wife Carolyn, of a running store and related website.
