NSynergy And Generation-e Announce Partnership

Generation-e and nSynergy have partnered to deliver seamless integration of Microsoft Collaboration tools Lync and SharePoint for their Australian customers.

nSynergy and Generation-e have announced today a first-of-its-kind strategic partnership to provide Australian businesses with a way to drive productivity through advanced Microsoft collaboration technologies.

Being award-winning global leaders in Information Management, nSynergy is the established expert in deploying and consulting on the SharePoint platform. Thanks to a solid background in IP telephony and networking, Generation-e is the authority on unified communication in Australia with unmatched expertise in complex Microsoft Lync Enterprise Voice solutions.

By way of this partnership, nSynergy and Generation-e will work hand in hand to provide organisations comprehensive Information Management strategy, collaborative technologies and unified communications services executed according to best practice.

Evan Williams, SMB & P Group Director, Microsoft Australia said: "Both Generation-e and nSynergy are award-winning Microsoft partners in Australia with a long track record of success. That is why we strongly support the announcement of their joint partnership which we believe, will be to the benefit of their customers in being able to offer a wider and stronger portfolio."

As two very different but very complementary technologies, SharePoint and Lync each require unique skill sets and dedicated teams of qualified experts to deploy.

From nSynergy's office in New York, CEO of nSynergy Karl Redenbach highlights "The tight alignment of our two organisations allows us to provide the best integrated solution available on the market. Though we are two separate companies, we will work as one to deliver a seamless user experience for our customers whilst providing the deep expertise across both product areas they would expect from a specialised integrator."

CEO of Generation-e Biagio La Rosa notes "The true magic of these technologies is revealed when they work in tandem to bring users closer, drive productivity, encourage team work and build community. Our mutual customers are now able to find content, information and people, then escalate to real-time communication with just the click of a button. "

SharePoint is now well established in the market, boasting a foothold of 60-70% across all organisations and industry sectors according to the Association for Information and Image Management. Given the burgeoning interest in Lync from its place in the Gartner Magic Quadrant and Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft acknowledging that 70% of the Fortune 500 companies have already adopted Microsoft Lync, the integration of the two technologies is now in high demand.

With Lync and SharePoint forming the foundation for Microsoft's Vision of Productivity, these products will dominate the core focus of Microsoft and their partners for the rest of 2012 and into the foreseeable future.
