Nutmeg Celebrates New Glastonbury Location With AAA and DMV Express
GLASTONBURY, Conn., September 25, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union recently celebrated the grand reopening of its Glastonbury location with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event came after several months of renovations made to accommodate the credit union’s retail partnership with AAA and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Located at 81 House Street, Nutmeg’s new Glastonbury location now offers DMV Express and AAA services. These come as additional benefits to the credit union’s full self-service banking technology, making it Nutmeg’s first location with retail space shared between three businesses.
“We are living in a day and age where convenience is key,” said John Holt, President and CEO of Nutmeg. “Providing banking, licensing, insurance and travel services all under one roof is a win for our members and for the communities we serve.”
Along with their insurance and auto travel services, AAA will also be facilitating Glastonbury’s DMV Express experience. This includes license and state ID renewals and replacements, name and address changes, and more—all made easy through Nutmeg’s custom technology that has seen proven success at their DMV Express locations in Milford and North Haven. Even with DMV Express visits limited to appointment only by COVID-19 regulations, the credit union still anticipates a busy and exciting opening week in Glastonbury.
“Our new Glastonbury location has so much to offer and we think it will draw a lot of attention from the surrounding community,” said Holt. “I’m happy to say the grand opening was very successful and encourage everyone to visit us for any banking, DMV or AAA needs.”
In attendance at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were various members of each of the partner organizations, including DMV Commissioners Sibongile Magubane and Tony Guerrera, AAA representatives Karen Christiana and Amy Parmenter, and others. Each expressed enthusiasm for their new shared retail space and are excited for the future of the Glastonbury location.
“We at the DMV and the State of Connecticut look for any way we can to make it easy for our citizens to get their driver’s licenses and complete transactions critical to moving their lives forward,” said Magubane at the ceremony. “This collaborative arrangement with two of our valued partners shows our unified effort to better serve the people of Connecticut.”
“With Nutmeg, we can now offer more services in less time to those who live and work nearby,” Christiana added. “We’re grateful that the credit union jumped in with two feet for our partnership and can’t wait to see the success of the Glastonbury location.”
